Casual Field Technician - Seed Production

The Role and Opportunity
Grasslanz invites you to join our committed seed production team at Lincoln. We are looking for a positive, adaptable, and resourceful person to step into the position of Seed Production Casual Field Technician. This role offers a full overview of our seed production operation and a varied range of tasks throughout the high season.
In this role you will work closely within a cohesive team assisting the harvest of grass, legume and cereal seed: processing, cleaning and sampling seed lines. You will also be involved in various maintenance tasks such as staking and bagging plants, setting up bird netting, rouging weeds and off type plants from crops.
There will also be opportunities to assist with other work around the research station, such as irrigation, plant propagation, tiller testing for endophytes and data collection.

Your Ideal Background

Farming background or field work experience.

Teamwork is essential in our operation. Communication skills and a collaborative attitude are the key to success.

An eagerness to learn and grow in the role.

Able to work some longer hours when required during harvesting and seed processing.
- Physically capable and willing to work outdoors, with exposure to pollen and variable weather.
