PURPOSE
To serve all guests in a courteous and friendly manner, projecting the host values of Manaakitanga.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Escort customers to their tables.
- Describe and recommend beverages to customers.
- Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Inform guests of daily specials.
- Take orders from guests for food or beverages, using the handheld units tableside, or Po S screens as appropriate.
- Answer guests questions knowledgeably.
- Serve food or beverages, and clear away dishes.
- Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Prepare itemised checks.
- Collect payments from guests and ensure that payments are correct.
- Clean tables or counters after guests have finished.
- Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks.
- Stock service areas with supplies of cutlery, napkins etc.
- 3 months or longer in a similar role.
- LCQ Certificate required after 3 months of employment in this role with our company.
