About the Role

Join the Dulux Specification Team based in Wellington in this full-time permanent position, where you will be working with a leading brand in a strong market position. You will be joining a business in great shape that is ready to capitalise on your drive and energy and can offer great benefits that come from working with one of New Zealand’s well-known companies.
Working within the architectural community you will use your relationship building skills and commercial acumen to drive paint sales in the Wellington and Wairarapa region by influencing specifiers with innovative solutions that satisfy their needs.
Day to day you’ll be putting your people-skills to the test, liaising with influential stakeholders within the specification sector to secure construction projects.
You’ll be using your profile with architects as you work closely them to secure projects through various avenues including providing technical support, colour advice, accurate specifications, expert product knowledge and putting together informative presentations. Work closely with our other business units on projects. As a strong team player, you’ll also collaborate with our wider Specification and Trade Sales Teams by fully utilising our in-house systems to track work through to completion.

Skills and Experience
We are looking for a keen and self-motivated networker, you'll be comfortable with identifying and developing relationships. You will also have:
  • The ability to communicate at all levels, with a confident and mature approach
  • Provide accurate and informative information on our product range
  • Demonstrate existing experience working with architects and specifiers
  • Understand architecture, design and the construction process with the ability to read and interpret plans and produce a specification document
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
  • Good computer skills with experience maintaining a CRM
  • Confident, resilient, and flexible with a positive and motivated attitude
  • Confident and clear group presentation skills
  • A tenacious self-starter and a team player
