About the venue: Situated in the picturesque Upper Village of Queenstown, Queenstown Ice Bar is a premium cocktail lounge renowned for its luxurious ambiance and expertly crafted cocktails. Our venue offers guests an unparalleled experience, combining the thrill of the icy setting with the warmth of our welcoming atmosphere.

About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the 2IC (Second in Command) at Queenstown Ice Bar. As the 2IC, you will play a vital role in supporting the Site Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the cocktail lounge and uphold our premium standards of service.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Site Manager in overseeing all aspects of the cocktail lounge's operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
Support training and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service and achieve performance targets.
Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor licensing laws and health and safety regulations.
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
Contribute to developing strategies to enhance guest experience and drive revenue growth.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards according to company policies and procedures.
Assist with administrative tasks such as, stock ordering, and financial reporting.

What are we looking for?

Previous leadership experience in a hospitality or similar environment.
Manager's Certificate or LCQ (Liquor Controller Qualification) is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenging situations calmly and efficiently.
Sound knowledge of liquor licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and hospitality industry best practices.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
