The Process Development Director ensures that the core business processes that have significant profit impact for Foot Locker EMEA are defined and developed with a strategic mind-set, in line with the Foot Locker EMEA’s strategic plan.
The Director Process Development focuses on working cross functionally, and in collaboration with functional leaders to develop and translate strategic goals into process development projects and programmes, for contributing to the overall growth and profitability of Foot Locker EMEA.
The role will have a specific priority assignment for optimization and simplification of finance processes as part of the enabling processes scope.
Responsibilities:
Development
Define and document key core business and enabling processes, end-to-end.
Identify processes gaps and inefficiencies, create process development plans to improve process KPI’s.
Define and implement the critical processes that will substantially improve the organizations productivity and profitability.
Create new business insights from available data sources, including customer and market research, and use those insights as the basis for generating new strategic business opportunities.
Planning and development
In collaboration with functoinal leaders translate the strategic goals into development projects and programs.
Lead and/or contribute to the strategic initiatives that has direct impact on profitability.
Understand company’s strategy intent and contribute to the strategic development of the business and ensure alignment with Senior Management on opportunities and priorities.
Create and keep together the prioritized strategic initiatives plan (portfolio), highlight risks and mitigation plans.
Consistently align core processes with the company’s mission, vision, position and strategies, in order to enable sustainable growth.
Communication
Interact with senior leadership to ensure consistent alignment and execution of their strategic initiatives.
Update the executive leadership team on the strategic initiatives status and development.
Engage internal team members as contributors to the initiatives.
Organize and lead the sponsor group and steering group meetings for the initiatives.
Leadership
The Director, Process Development is expected to act as an indirect leadership role for the organizations key process development and strategic initiatives Be proactive in anticipating and securing the resources needed to achieve the established goals and objectives. Be up to date and consistently communicate about risks and the mitigation plans.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in related fields (process and capability development).
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively, cross-functionally and with various stakeholders.
Experience in leading and managing change initiatives within an organization.
Senior stakeholder management skills.
Ability to simplify complexity.
Strong understanding of financial principles and their application to process development.
Project management skills.
Experience with project and portfolio management methodologies.
Good understanding of data, process and technology.
Continuous improvement approach.
Fluent in English.
