Technician, Electroplating
Responsibilities:

- Conduct industrial cleaning, sandblasting, wax masking, electroplating, and other surface treatments in compliance with technical manuals, KPIs, and OEM standards.
- Assist in creating job plans for various maintenance tasks, including cleaning, stripping, and coating processes.
- Perform quality checks as part of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Adhere to strict hazardous material storage and disposal guidelines according to environmental and company standards.
- Inspect and maintain holding tanks and accessories, including submitting facility-related service requests.
- Mix, test, and replenish coating solutions as needed.
- Determine and apply the correct electrical current and time for electroplating tasks, ensuring precise coating thickness.
- Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments according to manufacturer data.
- Document completed maintenance tasks, labor hours, vehicle data, and parts requests.
- Ensure issued tools, uniforms, and PPE are secure and well-maintained.
- Uphold confidentiality and security of company information.
- Collaborate with Overhaul Workshop members and support additional duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of two years of experience performing electroplating, metal oxidisation and/or gun bluing is required.
- Previous military experience or formal chemistry and/or electroplating training is an advantage.
- The ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical diagrams and schematics is preferred.
- Previous experience using special tools, precision measuring instruments and electroplating equipment is an advantage.
- Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and SAP is preferred.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
- Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s and forklift license.
