1. Creating a production plan.
1.1 Long term
- Preparing forecasts of supply needs, including anticipated demand for a product based on historical data and current trends. Monthly update of the long-term planning in the system.
- Responding to any request from supply planning regarding the correctness of the demands set up in the system.
1.2 Mid term
- Creating a production plan for the next 2 weeks on weekly base. Implementing it in the system.
1.3 Short term
- Creating a production plan for next week, leveling it into days taking into consideration the daily production capacity.
2. Ordering Raw Materials for the short term production plan
- Preparing a missing list on a weekly base for Supply planning can order the correct materials for the following week.
- Following up on arrival of the materials on a daily basis
- Escalating the RM that arrive late according to the escalation procedure.
3. Releasing production orders
- Preparing and releasing production orders for FGs and Subs on a daily base according to the weekly plan created.
- Clearing the system after release of the orders ensuring the system reflects correctly the orders for RM.
4. Collaboration with other departments:
- Production: Following up of everyday production and controlling if the weekly plan is followed, assisting if anything is requested to help production achieve the target. Creating a prioritization list for production so they can focus on the most important PNs (in times of high backlog)
- Customer service: Reporting increase/Decrease in customer demands. Reporting the progress of the production of the critical items. Informing of any obstacle that appears in the production of the items.
- Supply Planning: Creating missing lists, following up on materials, reporting any issues foreseen.
- Shipping and WH: Following up if what was requested to be sent is sent in the proper time window.
- Engineering: Releasing test orders (upon request from an engineer) and ensuring that there are materials and production capacity for the orders.
- Refa: Setting master data according to the matrix and the needs. Maintaining workflow process.
1.1. Activities for inventory level management:
- Counting and tracking inventory in production and WH.
- Following EOP procedure to minimize the excess inventory on Subs and FG.
- Monitoring inventory levels and tracking trends to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Suggesting changes to inventory warehousing to meet increased or reduced demand.
5. Other functional responsibilities:
- Ensure proper parameter setting in SAP.
- Participating in product kick-off process.
- Participating in the change management process.
- Participating in the runout process.
- Planning first serial production according to NPI plan from engineering.
- Ensure continuous improvement in the daily tasks and processes
6. Other tasks:
- Knowing internal guidelines, procedures and work instructions and ensuring daily work in accordance with these requirements.
- Participating in required training.
- Following the activities to achieve KPI targets.
