Accountant (Junior Specialist: Finance Support) - Clinvet Morocco Clinvet is widely regarded as one of the leading animal health CRO's globally. An exciting opportunity is available for a Junior Specialist to join our dynamic Finance and Administration team at Clinvet Morocco.
Primary Job Purpose To support the Line Manager to establish, implement and maintain effective debtors, creditors, cash, bank management system, and supervise the procurement process
Description of position Finances/Accounting
Support the Line Manager to ensure expenditure control
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income-, and cash flow statements
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payments
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents
Accurately process invoices in Accounts Receivable
Assist on ensuring reconciliation and management of stocks and consumables
Assist in managing debtors/invoices filing system
Assist to accurately reconcile General Ledger and creditor accounts on a monthly basis to ensure that accounts are correctly balanced
Support the preparation and submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings: prepare the applications for the VAT reimbursement
Assist in the compiling monthly/quarterly and yearly management accounts for customer board meetings
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies and resolve discrepancies promptly
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
Procurement
Oversee the procurement process, including the preparation of purchase orders and tracking of delivery schedules
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply
Support the Line Manager to ensure payments are accurately made to creditors
Control expenses and build a long-term cost-saving culture based on supply costs
Compare orders, goods received notes and invoices
General
Coordinate and assist sponsors and visitors in accommodations, transport, and logistics, as back up
Perform any tasks that may from time to time be required to address operational requirements
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations
Qualification and Experience requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
Specific skills and abilities required
Attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point; Outlook, MS Teams, and Office 365
Ability to learn new software and systems
Ability to work independently and be part of a team
Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Meeting tight deadlines, time management and scheduling
