Job Description Summary

The Repair Engineering Organization provides global technical support to the GE Aerospace MRO network and works on repair developments with direct impact on the Service Engine Manuals. The Repair Engineering Team is looking for a Repair Engineer Intern that provides support to the creation of repair engineering solutions for aviation engine components (externals), working together with hardware owners in a multi-functional team environment and supporting a wide variety of programs for GE Aerospace services business.

• Collect and track data for departure records
• Support hardware owners on data investigation across GE data bases for work-scope development
• Development of fast-track PCRs (Publication Change Requests)
• Fill-in repair documents templates
• Support hardware owners on repair sketches
• Support the team on the development of Lean tools (Flight Deck is our proprietary lean operating model)
• Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements
• Document technical data that is generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems and that is consistent with engineering policies and procedures
• Provide timely communication on significant issues to key stakeholders
• Support the solution of problems of limited scope and complexity.

Qualification / Requirements

• Student of Mechanical, Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering
• College graduation not sooner than December 2026
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
• English skills: must be able to maintain a simple conversation in English.
• Presentation skills: ability to communicate with Senior Leadership.
• Demonstrated ability in managing own projects
• Effective problem identification and solution skills
• Proven analytical and organizational abilities
• Part-time job: 30hours per week
