Maintains and applies up-to-date regulatory expertise to ensure NNA is in compliance with federal regulations for trade content programs. Analyzes vendor and BOM data, prepares analyses and performs annual reconciliations of content and origin for present and future models in accordance with these regulations. Updates internal controls and procedures manuals in accordance with business needs and regulations. Regularly interfaces with external suppliers to obtain necessary documentation to support the NNA Trade Content Program, and interfaces with internal functions such as purchasing administration and strategy. Assists compliance manager in managing outsourced services for content and country of origin solicitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates with domestic and foreign NML personnel, other SCM, NPO, and PQE analysts & engineers. Interfaces with external service providers and parts vendors professionally and with great discernment and care.
- Supports other Supply Chain Compliance, Legal, Risks, Customs and Trade, and SCM Innovations operation staff and coordinates to identify and implement operational synergies and efficiencies.
- Monitor industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to supply chain compliance.
Education:
A bachelor's degree in engineering preferred, technical experience required; background experience in customs and trade regulations is a plus.
Experience:
2 to 3 years of related experience at a professional level, such as manufacturing engineer, automotive parts buyer, supply chain analyst or data scientist.
Computer Skills:
Advanced knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet
EXCEL, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to create specialized applications or products of a highly technical nature.
Job Knowledge and Skill:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, accounting and systems project skills.
- Ability to work and deliver results under limited supervision.
