Sr EHS Engineer

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Sr EHS Engineer.

What you’ll do:

The EHS Sr Engineer Manage an effective maintenance program that provides for a clean, comfortable, safe working environment for all personnel. Ensure compliance to STPS, SEMARNAT, ISO 14001, OSHA/ISO 45001, and MESH requirements and specific regulations applicable to the facility.
Maintain and ensure compliance for Management Enviromental Safety & Health system (MESH). EHS Champion.
EHS Champion / co champion of 8 MESH categories (Knowledge in electrical safety, LOTO, Machine guarding, confined Spaces, powered industrial vehicles, etc) as a well as its legal compliance.
Ensure Legal compliance of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Coordinate waste team.
Ensure Clean Industry and Safe Company certifications.
Manage FIFIs program
Administration of chemicals MSDS, magagement of registration of new chemicals.
Interacts and works as a legal liason with Municial, state and Federal dependencies (Civil protection, PROFEPA, Fireguard, SEMARNAT, IMSS, STPS,etc) to ensure 100% compliance with official regulations and requirements.
Responsible for graphs of enviaromental performance and waste generation and updating MESH PRISM.
Works with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
Work together with the EHS Site Manager and Site Staff in the Facilitates risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
Prepare the investigation of accidents, first aid for those that occur in areas assigned, define root cause and preventive actions corrective actions together with the team to eliminate the root cause and avoid recurrence.
Supports risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
Implementation of Projects to improve EHS performance
Ensure compliance with the Life saving rules 100% for all employees
Responsible for the Security area and co- responsible for C-TPAT compliance.
Drives and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering chemical, Industrial, Environmental, EHS, or similar.
3-5 years of experience in EHS, including knowledge on STPS, SEMARNAT and OSHAS regulation.
EHS Systems and Knowledge.
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Recognition and Evaluation of EHS Risks.
Risk Control and Communication.
ISO 14001
Knowledge of Legal Regulations, Dependency Requirements.
Organization and prioritization skills, Leadership
People management
Experience in Waste Management
