Summary:
The Share Point Administrator role is to architect, install, administer, and maintain the Share Point Enterprise Environment to support Donaldson’s usage by all employees. This role will monitor the 2010, 2019, and Share Point Online (SPO) environments by proactively and reactively resolve issues that arise. The role also designs and maintains Server and Operating System (OS) level architecture to keep the environments stable. The role will lead the technical side of any future migrations to the next version(s). This role will work with the Business Analyst and Developer roles to provide direction on best practices, recommend out of the box solutions, and lead platform knowledge within the team. The Share Point Administrator will not only need to provide direction to the team but also to the larger business organization as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
- Helps to create and maintain the organization's Share Point standards, including support, taxonomies, and naming standards.
- Develop, document, and apply methodologies, company procedures and standards, and leading practices.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to application, windows server, SQL, and related technologies.
- Installation, administration, and maintenance of all environments
- Monitor environment architecture standards and conventions.
- Develop, document, and enforce standards for Share Point environment and application configuration.
- Automates environment and application monitoring
- Strong task management, customer contact, and task prioritization skills are required.
- Requires knowledge & experience in Share Point Online and Share Point 2010 and 2019.
- Builds knowledge of the organization, processes & customers.
- Performs routine and difficult duties and tasks that need guided judgment, to implement various business systems and technologies to meet company’s strategic objectives.
- Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard practices.
- On call responsibilities, including after-hours support
- Receives a relative level of guidance and direction based on experience.
Essential Education, Skills and Experience:
- Five or more years of experience with Information Management and Enterprise Content Management systems required.
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent (work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts) and 5 years relevant work experience.
- Five years of experience supporting Share Point Online, Share Point 2019 or prior versions.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities with a high incidence of changing requirements, analyze, and clarify ambiguous requests/instructions, meet very aggressive deadlines and demanding work schedules, and manage large workloads.
- Prior use of tools such as Sharegate and Power Shell are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated use of Event Viewer, Performance Monitor, Share Point Logs, Power Shell, IIS, Share Point Designer, Active Directory, DNS, SMTP, Microsoft SQL, Info Path, Power Apps, Azure, and Office 365
- Other technologies aware of: Yammer, Teams, Planner, Power BI, Sway, One Drive, Staff Hub, Forms, Stream, Video Portal, Delve, To-Do & etc.
- Ability to work with IT and business leaders to architect sites, search, and other functionality in SPO that meet business requirements.
