About the Job.

Responsible for accounts receivable, generating billing and assisting in the daily activities of the Credit area.

Main activities

  • In charge of Portfolio and correct monitoring of Hotel accounts.
  • Preparation and monitoring of master accounts with groups.
  • Verification of BEO's vs records in the system.
  • Review with Clients to ensure timely recovery.
  • Review of travel agency commissions to ensure correct payment and accounting record
  • Generates travel agency invoices and tracks payments.
  • Generate group advance reports.
  • Manages the collection of commissions from event suppliers at the resort.
  • Conciliation of payments by credit cards, debit cards, payment link.
  • Conciliation of Opera vs Bank transactions.
  • Conciliation of City Ledger, PMS vs Accounting.
  • Monitoring and application of refunds.
  • Monitoring and resolution of chargebacks.
  • Contact with banks in the catchment area.
  • Review of physical credit card vouchers and follow-up on discrepancies.
  • Maintains the file of credit card vouchers organized in a safe place with restricted access.
  • Manages maintenance or change of terminals.
  • Maintains control over the number of terminals and operating conditions.
  • Generate accommodation invoices to clients and affiliate companies.
  • Register policies through i Scala and add corresponding supports.
  • Responsible for integration of balance sheet accounts.
  • Responsible for scheduling and carrying out monthly credit meetings, with support minutes.
  • He is responsible for the overview, training and administration of the personnel assigned to his position.
  • Maintains constant communication with his colleagues at the resort to carry out his activities.
  • Maintains a positive attitude towards the challenges that arise during their activities.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer.

About you.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel accounting, in a luxury or ultra-luxury property.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Administration or Public Accounting.
  • General Skills: Must be able to perform duties with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Organize, assign priorities and follow up. Have clear ideas, remain calm and solve problems using good judgment. Follow instructions closely, understand the guest's service needs, work closely with colleagues as part of your work team. Maintain confidentiality in the information of associates, guests and the hotel.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of accounting/hospitality operations, mastery of office parcel delivery, experience in i Scala and Opera systems desirable. Ability to perform mathematical operations with units of measurement including, but not limited to, percentages, dollars, cents, feet, inches, cups, pounds, and ounces. Ability to concentrate and maintain attention while performing tasks despite frequent stressful, emergency, critical, or unusual interruptions. Ability to memorize, remember and quickly retrieve dates, names, times and other data.
  • Language: You are required to speak, read and write in Spanish and English preferably.
  • Physical Requirements: You must be able to perform various physical movements in work areas, raise and lower things, and remain seated for long periods of time.
