Overview: The Export Operations Executive will be responsible for ensuring that all export activities comply with the requirements of shipping lines, port terminals in Manzanillo, and port authorities. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and managing essential export documentation and collaborating with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and port authorities to expedite the export process. The ideal candidate will be adept at optimizing export processes, managing relationships with port terminals, port authorities and demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills. This role demands high efficiency, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong interest in maritime logistics and export operations. The Export Operations Executive will serve as the main contact between the export customer service department, shipping lines, and port authorities. Responsibilities:
Develop the weekly itinerary detailing cut-off vessel times from partners and operators and inform internal departments.
Create a preliminary and final CBFs to send to partners.
Send manifests for dangerous goods, refrigerated cargo, and oversized items, as well as lists of refrigerated cargo, to ship agents and terminals when applicable.
Request, create, send, follow up the export cargo list process with Export department and port terminals.
Send import DGAs for empty containers to be evacuated on each vessel
· Prepare and send evacuation maneuvers, ensuring empty containers are properly gate into terminals to meet allocation requirements.
Request empty gate-in windows from various terminals and generate PIS entries on the port authority website.
Prepare the return DGA digitally through VUCEM
Validate and confirm the final loading plan to the terminal (empties / full containers)
Maintain daily communication with port terminals, external yards, and the export customer service department to confirm operational costs such as storage, roll-over costs, and plug days.
Manage of different port terminal’s website and upload cargo manifest to port authority website
Requirements: · Good Communication in English (written and spoken). · Excellent service attitude and can-do attitude. · College degree. · Previous experience in shipping, can be either shipping line or freight forwarder · Preferred candidates from International Business or logistics related careers. · Computer savvy, general knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new systems. · Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively and a willingness to learn and support import operations if needed.
