Intermodal Import Executive
Overview:
Skilled in coordinating efficient transportation, logistics, and documentation with different terminals website to ensure the pickup/ gate in appointment in Manzanillo port terminals.
Proficient in optimizing and solve intermodal processes, dealing with truck suppliers,
The ideal candidate must have good communication skills, problem solving, high efficiency and tolerance to work under high pressure as well as an interest in logistics and export operations.
Responsibilities:
o Coordinated import intermodal operations using multiple modes of transportation (maritime, all truck ,rail ), with a willingness to learn and adapt to different traffic types and modes, including export and additional rail operations.
o Reception and verification of all the required documents to the truck assignation and gate in /pick up appointment : Truck request reception , Complemento carta porte , Revalidated BL , Customs declaration
o Containers segregation in terminal website and through email communication with terminal
o Different odes change from Truck to no liner , truck to rail in terminal website and through email communication with terminal
o Follow up all the requirements, communication with all the parties involved in the import/export gate in process to get the pick up /gate in appointments in the intermodal process (Port terminals, custom broker, customer ,Intermodal)
o Maintained strong relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction
o Support in generate a daily reports to give visibility of the intermodal process in port to internal departments in the company .
o Open to keep close communication with customers and internal departments via email, phone, instant messaging.
Requirements:
o Good Communication in English (written and spoken).
o Excellent service attitude and a proactive can-do attitude.
o College degree.
o Previous experience in shipping, either with a shipping line or , customs agency, port terminal or a freight forwarder.
o Preferred candidates from International Business or logistics related careers.
o Computer savvy, general knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new systems.
o Ability to work under high pressure.
