Job Purpose
Provide support to local Controller and Connectors FBP team to ensure and support the financial integrity of the SINT Tijuana Manufacturing site including but not limited to inventory control, product costing, reporting, cost management, SES / VAVE / Procurement projects and account reconciliations. Supports the Finance Business Partners and Operations management teams in the pursuit of continuous improvements in cost, quality & delivery performance.
Responsabilities
Assisting in the preparation of monthly Operational results, annual budgets and forecasts Supporting the Controller to deliver site objectives including cost management, lead time, inventory and efficiency improvements ensuring financial impacts are validated and tracked in accordance with the company guidelines. Generate monthly inventory reconciliations, monitoring inventory profile to avoid over procurement, driving accuracy through management of the cycle count process, ensuring accurate recording and understanding of inventory issues, scrap and obsolete items. Monitoring of standard costs, support of the annual cost roll process. Permanent review and analysis of expense account entries and expense reclasses, if required. Review and audit cycle counts in the Tijuana Manufacturing site, prepare reports to monitor count adjustments, approval documentation and annual compliance to SINT policy. Support Controller and Finance Business Partners with special/adhoc project work as required. Assist in Internal or External audits and compliance requests. Analyze and identify impact on changes or updates to standard costs. Comply with Smiths policies, internal work rules and leadership behaviors. Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Accounting/Finance degree required from an accredited College or University Strong financial/accounting skills. Minimum 3 years working experience in a manufacturing environment, working with engineering and operations personnel on development and analysis of cost standards in support of continuous improvement. Business Systems experience. Ability to priorities and work on own initiative. Proficient with Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills. Ability to interact with all levels within the organization. Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and organize efficiently.
