• Responsible for overseeing the surface treatment processes including cleaning, polishing, anodizing, passivation, and finishing.
• This role involves managing a team of engineers and technicians, coordinating with other departments, and continuously improving metal surface treatment operations to meet company goals and customer specifications.
• The manager will ensure compliance with industry regulations and environmental standards, while also driving innovation and process optimization.

Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
· Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and operators in the metal surface treatment section.
· Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills, particularly in surface treatment techniques and safety.
· Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the team.
Process Oversight:
· Oversee all metal surface treatment processes, including cleaning, polishing, anodizing, passivation, and finishing.
· Ensure that all processes are optimized for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality output.
· Monitor process parameters and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent product quality.
Quality Assurance:
· Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure metal surfaces meet or exceed industry and customer standards.
· Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to resolve any quality issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing the quality and efficiency of metal surface treatments.
Project and Resource Management:
· Manage surface treatment projects, from initial planning to execution, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
· Work closely with R&D, production, and procurement teams to support new product developments and process improvements.
· Prepare detailed project reports and presentations for senior management.
Compliance and Environmental Responsibility:
· Ensure all metal surface treatment processes comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental laws.
· Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the surface treatment area.
· Develop and enforce strict safety protocols to protect employees and maintain a safe working environment.
Technical Innovation:
· Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in metal surface treatment.
· Recommend and implement new technologies or process upgrades to improve efficiency, quality, and environmental impact.
· Drive innovation by exploring new materials, coatings, and methods that could enhance product performance.
Customer Interaction:
· Serve as the technical expert in metal surface treatment for customers, providing insights and solutions that meet their needs.
· Address and resolve customer concerns related to surface treatment processes.
· Ensure that customer requirements are clearly understood and met through the surface treatment process.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in metal surface treatment or a related field.
· Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a technical or manufacturing environment.
· In-depth knowledge of metal surface treatment processes, including electroplating, anodizing, passivation, and coating techniques.
· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in metal surface treatment.
· Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Proficiency in project management and budgeting.
· Experience with ERP systems and process automation tools.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
