Job Description
- Lead in research and process study on ready-to-eat ice cream products, including various formats and relevant projects
- Evaluate market products and prepare data/trend analysis specific to the ice cream sector
- Lead and carry out a commercial scale-up study to assess the feasibility of producing ice cream on a larger scale
- Conduct research on industry trends, market demands, and consumer preferences in the ice cream industry to identify opportunities for flavor and formulation innovation
- Develop and test new ice cream products, ingredients, formulations, and recipes in alignment with market trends and customer preferences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and production, to ensure successful ice cream product development and launch
- Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer testing to gather feedback on new ice cream products and make necessary adjustments to formulations
- Manage and maintain documentation of research and development activities, including ice cream recipe formulations, lab reports, and product specifications
- Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in food science, ice cream and technology to drive innovation within the organization
- Perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superior
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or any related field.
- Minimum 5 years work experience in Research & Development in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control procedures, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with microbiological and chemical analysis techniques.
- Experience in developing new food products and formulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of relevant food manufacturing standards and certifications (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO, HALAL etc.) is preferred.
- Fluency in English and Malay, both written and spoken.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
