Job Summary: The Assistant Manager - Wire Harness Planner is responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of production processes for wire harnesses. This role ensures that resources are efficiently utilized to meet production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules for wire harness assembly. Coordinate with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure the availability of materials. Manage work orders and production timelines to meet customer demands and deadlines.
Resource Management: Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials. Plan and allocate resources effectively to achieve production efficiency. Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
Process Improvement: Analyze production processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate new technologies and methodologies.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality control team to ensure all products meet specified standards. Identify potential issues in production and work towards preventive solutions.
Team Leadership: Supervise and support the production planning team. Provide guidance and training to subordinates to enhance their skills and performance. Assisted in the evaluation of employee performance and recommended development plans.
Coordination with Stakeholders: Act as the primary liaison between production, engineering, procurement, and sales departments to ensure seamless communication. Prepare reports and presentations on production status, bottlenecks, and KPIs for senior management.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the planning and production teams.
