Job Summary:
onsemi is looking for a Manufacturing Manager focused on Fabrication and Characterization to support our Silicon Carbide (Si C) operations. This role will help onsemi continue to accelerate the company’s Si C strategy and ensure our path to success.
As the Fab & Characterization Manufacturing Manager, you will serve a critical role in our Si C Operations Group.

Requirements:
- BS in Electrical, Chemical, or Material Science engineering.
- Fabrication management experience in high tech manufacturing (e.g., SEMI, Ceramics, Optics, LED).
- 5+ years of process engineering experience, preferably within semiconductor manufacturing.
- Previous management experience.
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identify manufacturing improvements, manage change, and implement solutions.
- Working knowledge of applied statistics (SPC/DOE) and structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5 whys, and DMAIC.
- Experience managing large sets of data.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- High energy, self-motivated attitude with strong communication skills and ability to interface effectively with coworkers of different backgrounds at every level of the company.
Responsibilities
- Directing the development and implementation of activities to meet production goals focusing on optimizing process parameters, cost down and yield improvement efforts, and process control.
- Partnering with the Operations, Equipment, Yield, and R&D teams to improve yield and efficiencies.
- Building, coaching, and leading a diverse team.
- Organizing and managing projects that positively impact costs and product yields.
- Partnering with the Operations, Equipment, Yield, and R&D engineering teams to ensure effective new product and process introductions as well as consistent device performance and quality.
- Interfacing with other groups to improve cycle time, tool availability, process/product yield, and drive cost reductions.
- Driving innovation and continuous improvements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Managing performance and development of the production team, ensuring staff are trained and process protocols are being followed.
