Junior Veterinary Assistant
Reponsibilities:
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
Benefits:
- Assisting in veterinary consultation, treatment, surgery and boarding.
- Responsible for safely and gently restraining animals (Cat, Dog, and other small animals)
- Assist in feeding, providing water, and grooming animals.
- Administer basic treatments or medications under supervision.
- Observe and report animal behavior or health condition.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment (kennels, catteries, consultation rooms, surgery room, etc).
- Maintain accurate records (patient record, treatments, inventory, etc).
- Provide clients with general information about pet care and services.
- Ad hoc tasks
- Minimum a SPM holder or higher
- Current or former pet ownership will be an added advantage.
- Comfortable working with animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles,etc)
- Compassion for both a pet and its owner
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 15kg)
- Ability to follow safety protocols, including proper animal handling techniques
- A team player who is able to interact & work with veterinary team.
- Availability to occasionally work on shifts
