HSE MANAGER
- HSE Manager is expected (but not limited) to:
- To lead and motivate Plant Department Team to achieve HSE excellence.
- To develop and conduct training on matters related to environment, health, safety, security and firefighting. Ensure that the orientation programme is effectively implemented for all employees and contractors in the Plant.
- Monitor the political and security situations at Plant and report to higher management on the development that might impact the security conditions at Plant.
- Be aware, investigate and report serious security-related incidents and criminal acts against the company or against employees (due to their LGPC affiliation) as well as serious internal offenses to the management and to related government agencies
- Perform regular site checks, audits and provide expertise support to ensure plant activities are conducted in full compliance with relevant statutory HSE requirements.
- Maintain good working relationship with the related government and external agencies for mutual assistance and best practices sharing on matters pertaining to environment, health, safety and security.
- Ensure all Crisis & Emergency Response Plans, HSE Manual and guidelines are regularly updated. Conduct regular drill exercises to test preparedness on Crisis & Emergency Response Plans
- Responsible for managing and monitoring the HSE team in terms of manpower resources, discipline, training and welfare to ensure an effective HSE environment is achieved
- To organise and co-ordinate the Safety Health Committee meetings and monthly Safety Inspection as its secretariat.
- Conduct incident investigation & share lesson learned with the Plant teams. Keep records of all Plant security, safety, guidelines, accident/incident investigation logs and prevention including the records of other government statutory requirement and records.
- Monitoring the maintenance of all safety and firefighting equipment’s with the assistant from the HSE Team.
- Organise and maintain the First Aid room and assist Occupational Health Doctor on matters to health, injury and record keeping
- Coordinate all environmental matters, waste management and pollution control systems as required by the company as well as legal requirements
- Act as Management Representative for the Plant.
- To coordinate the control of Chemical Safety Data Sheet for site as well as record keeping of all emission data, waste generation and other HSE matters and documentation
- In the absence, HSE Executive will be responsible for certain task as per below:
- To conduct HSE related training
- To conduct security, safety incident/accident investigations
- Report to higher management in regards to security/safety matters
- Attend any internal or external meeting on behalf
- o support the implementation of Environment, Health, Safety, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 by practicing them accordingly to ensure full compliance with the requirements as stipulated in the system. To act as Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Coordinator and document controller for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation.
- Follow all plant safety and environment regulations and requirements. participate in activities to continuously improve quality performance. participate in department and site safety & environment initiatives.
- To be aware and adhere site HSE & Quality policy and procedure. work towards the overall objective of the company including report an incident to superior
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
