The opportunity: We are looking for Quality Coordinator to join our Mercury Plant in Dudelange. You will have the opportunity to join a multinational team for a new factory using innovative automated technology and state of the art equipment going to 4.0 Industry. Within that team you will be responsible for executing and coordinating quality activities, in particular:
Operational quality management within the current shift, monitoring of quality results (waste, tire uniformity, process deviations)
Root cause analysis following DMAIC approach incl initiation and monitoring of remedial actions
As quality assurance representant, coordinate decisions to be made with team leader and maintenance team team,
Ensure follow-up when a new tire size is release to production
Collaboration with new product industrialization team during development of new tire size
Analyze the process deviations to improve the effectiveness, quality and productivity of the entire manufacturing process
Gatekeeper to segregate tires not following Goodyear standards
Training, coordination & control all team members in the shift to ensure quality standards adherence
Daily reporting to management and maintain Quality KPI and Action Log on daily basis
To join our team you will need: Education:
Technical high school diploma or associate degree (BTS/DUT, BAC+2/+3) in mechanic or equivalent
Languages:
Basic command of English and fluent in German or French
Experience:
Working experience in technical industry (automotive sector is an asset)
Experience in Quality management will be considered as an asset
Working experience in tire manufacturing is a high asset (either building, curing and/or Final Finishing area)
Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions in response to quality issues
Good data analysis skills and familiarity with quality metrics and charts. Good skills in Excel will be considered as an asset
Ability to follow documented procedures and to initiate procedures creation
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills - combined with the capability to lead and coach co-workers.
Strong communication skills
Sense of urgency to resolve issues, self-initiative
Flexibility in the tasks to be accomplished daily
Ability to operate both manual and automated industrial machinery
Position requires shift, evening, night and weekend work assignments
Willing to learn and develop multi skills capabilities in several areas (tire building, tire curing, tire uniformity)
