International Road Logistics Transport Specialist
Are you passionate about logistics and transport planning? Do you have a proven track record in organizing efficient transport solutions while meeting customer requirements and quality standards?
Your Role
Kuehne+Nagel is currently seeking a International Road Logistics Transport Specialist to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for organizing transport by selecting the most cost-effective solutions while adhering to customer specifications and quality standards. You will be the first point of escalation for our customers and play a crucial role in ensuring smooth transport operations.Your Responsibilities
- Serve as the first escalation point for customers.
- Plan and manage transportation (both national and international).
- Inquire about and calculate freight charges.
- Coordinate shipping agents and freight carriers, including the registration and handling of shipments.
- Maintain contact with international customers and carriers.
- Control freight costs and ensure efficiency.
- Create and manage shipping documents and delivery notices.
- Monitor delivery dates and ensure timely execution.
- Utilize IT-based order processing and coordinate delivery schedules while planning efficient transport routes.
- Adhere to relevant Kuehne+Nagel product standards, such as KN Pharma Chain and KN Engine Chain.
- Ensure compliance with customer quality standards and relevant WHO GDP guidelines and EU regulations.
Your Skills and Experiences
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience, including an apprenticeship.
- Proficiency in planning shipping routes, including travel times, breaks, and shipping paths.
- Language skills: English is mandatory, along with German or French.
- A strong affinity for customer quality standards.
- Professional communication skills with international clients, along with commitment and open-mindedness.
