Who May Apply: US Citizens
Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 Months. Term appointments may be extended up to eight (8) years. With Do D approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Preparing work orders and developing long-range construction/renovation projects; developing solutions to correct facility deficiencies to include initial planning and/or managing project milestone execution; and conducting periodic surveys (space assignments, office relocations/modifications, furniture acquisition) to calculate space utilization.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.
