Impact Product Description With the many solutions and products within Service Now, customers often struggle to get the full value out of their purchase. Impact is an offering that aims to help Service Now customers accelerate adoption and track the value of their Service Now deployment. Impact also includes an element of tracking platform health, whether through surfacing cases where best practices are not being followed, monitoring instance health in customers’ development cycle, and tracking technical debt. Finally, the most powerful feature of impact is to make recommendations on what next steps should be taken that will help customers achieve the most value. A significant emphasis in the upcoming roadmap is on leveraging AI and Gen AI to improve these recommendations and enhance them to new areas. The Impact product is unique in that it serves both our end customers and the Service Now professional services which support the customer as part of the Impact offering. The product is currently under the process of an internal re-platform to better support these two needs. Exposure to teams in new areas within and outside the development organization, to ways in which Service Now runs its business, and to a fast-growing product area
Diverse technological opportunities, and exposure to problems that require creative solutions. Including but not limited to AI and Gen AI, interfacing with 3rd party tools used by Service Now, leveraging and enhancing existing SN solutions and bringing them to their full now-on-now potential, and more.
Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users.
Design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite
Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing
Qualifications To be successful in this role you have:
6+ years of experience with Java Script or a similar OO language- MUST
6+ years of experience with Java- strong advantage
Passion for Java Script and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization
Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
Experience with any of the modern UI frameworks like Angular, React or Vue
Analytical and design skills
Ability to work with cross-cultural teams
AI / Gen AI experience – advantage
Experience with the Service Now platform- Optional
