Overview of the role As Operations Leader, you'll be a member of Indaver's Total Waste Management Team.
You will have responsibility for the operational waste management at the customer site. Ensuring collection and transport of waste onsite and from the customer site to the end destination is conducted in a sustainable manner.
Role & Responsibilities
Safety First: As with everyone on site you will be trained to work safely and correctly, assuring a safe workplace for everyone.
Teamwork: Part of your role will involve treating the waste (segregating, packing, bulking, repackaging) as required. You will ensure efficient contract management on site.
Sustainability: As part of a team you will arrange shipments off site to various treatment centers in a safe and compliant manner to ensure the most sustainable treatment.
Independence: Your role will involve managing all internal waste collections on site for segregation in the waste compound in accordance with the regulations. You will ensure the planning and registration of waste removal to include processing in accordance to site requirements.
Experience and qualifications
Leaving cert or equivalent
1-2 years’ experience in Waste management or relevant experience in Pharma / Production, Petro-Chemical environments or equivalent
Experience or knowledge of chemical handling
Excellent verbal and written communication
Computer skills (MS Office package)
Strong team player
Forklift license would be an advantage.
Knowledge in the following areas is an advantage (DGSA, ADR / IMDG)
Bulk tanker filling & movements knowledge an advantage
Safe Pass (desirable but not essential as training will be provided)
