Software Support Engineer

Precia Molen Ireland are in search of a diligent, self-motivated candidate to join our software team.
A Precia Molen Software Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of bespoke software solutions for end users. The selected candidate will build a portfolio of customers that they will be responsible for. They will build products to meet their customers’ requirements and expectations, and collaborate with other parts of the organisation to combine software solutions with weighing hardware. They will be responsible for all aspects of the software project following the specification process through to the delivery of the system. Additionally, they will continue to support the customer’s system following installation, and carry out future upgrades and modifications as required.
We are looking for candidates who are proficient in software deployment and database management, eager to learn and develop their skills, with a customer focused approach. The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:
Required
Ø Customer focus & understanding
Ø Background in computer engineering / computer science
Ø Innovative approach to problem solving
Ø Time management skills
Ø Good communication & collaboration skills
Ø Effective working within a team and more broadly with people form a variety of backgrounds and areas across the company
Ø Knowledge of Windows operating systems and MS Office package
Beneficial
Ø Experience in customer support
Ø Experience working in software/IT related industry
Ø Experience with Firebird and/or Microsoft SQL Server databases
This role will be full-time with a starting salary of €27,500 per annum. Following completion of the training program, a bonus scheme will be included based on the customer portfolio.
