The Opportunity
We now seeking Senior Client Engineers to join our Engineering & Asset Management team (E&AM).
The successful candidate will perform client engineering assignments to ensure that business priorities are met. The client engineering function is responsible for undertaking project design reviews/site inspections on both contestable and non-contestable transmission projects to ensure that projects are developed in accordance with Eir Grid functional specification standards. Delivery of these projects is required to meet key departmental and company objectives.
The Team
The Engineering & Asset Management is responsible for undertaking four key roles; asset management, technical authority, onshore engineering and offshore engineering. The team is responsible for setting the technical engineering policies and standards to be used for transmission infrastrucutre, monitoring compliance during design and construction and for ensuring asset integridy and ensuring uninterrupted power system functionality.
About you
Successful candidates will have:
- Electrical Engineering qualification to degree level or equivalent qualification, typically with 4 years relevant post-qualification experience.
- Good technical knowledge in high voltage transmission design with strong knowledge of transmission technology including new and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on high quality report writing and ability.
- Ability to influence others to move towards a common vision or goal and to work collaboratively with and through others.
- Experience conceiving and introducing innovative ideas, solutions or new ways of doing things with strong analytical and problem solving ability.
- Experience completing onsite inspections and monitoring of construction progress for compliance.
- Full drivers licence.
