The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Operations Engineer IRE to act as a security Subject Matter Expert (SME) leading the triage and coordination across product SMEs, security, and cyber threat intelligence personnel for security ticket responses to set SLAs within US operational hours.

Own security tickets from initial triage through to closure:
Leverage available threat intelligence
Conduct security ticket triage and analysis
Engage with stakeholder incl. customer, internal and Global IBM Experts
Align with Origina's security methodologies to develop mitigating actions that address customer security risks and issues, considering business, operational, and financial constraints
Capture lessons learnt and input data into the Vulnerability Advisory Database
Contribute to the development, input, and maintenance of security knowledge base
Support security service development
Stay updated on security trends, threats, tools, methodologies, and regulations
Collaborate with internal departments, Customer Support, Account Management, Service Innovation and industry experts

About you

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role
Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, teamwork and customer interaction skills
Tech savvy with security and systems experience supporting the ability to conduct root cause analysis through technical, business, and operational engagement to formulate and coordinate the delivery of appropriate actions
Strong analytical/problem solving skills with a flair for developing creative solutions to overcome complex technical challenges
Resilient and flexible mindset with comfort handling ambiguity in a high-growth environment
Ability to build and manage relationships internally and externally with trust and integrity
Proven ability to communicate effectively on a technical, security, operational topics with a broad range of internal and customer stakeholders
Experience in delivering operational capability and/or service
Strong focus on quality and risk management with the ability to perform situational analysis to identify, measure and document risks
Experience with collation or utilisation of threat intelligence analysis and reporting
Good working knowledge and experience in the assessment and/or implementation of ISO27001, NIST framework and Cyber Assessment Framework
Sound working knowledge of Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) project; Common Vulnerability Exposures (CVE), Common Weakness Scoring System (CVSS)
IBM/HCL/VMware product experience/knowledge desired but not a pre-requisite
