Security Officer (Nights)

Corporate Security Officers Required (Nights)
As a member of our team, you will representing the brand of our company, and you will at all times remain diligent, respectful and professional, whilst ensuring the safety and security of our clients assets, personnel and visitors are to the highest standards.
Your primary responsibility will be to respond swiftly and effectively to any security issues or emergencies that may arise, including physical security breaches, alarm activations, medical emergencies and on site clients personnel requests.
You will be required to carry out snap foot patrols, while maintaining a vigilant presence, monitoring surveillance systems, operating the C-Cure access system and promptly intervening to mitigate risks and resolve situations as they occur throughout your designated shift patterns.
Responsibilities with the role and experience necessary:
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, emergencies, physical security breaches, disturbances, medical situations, and fire alarms. With your experience, making decisive decisions to contain and resolve the problem while minimising risk to personnel and property.
  • Monitor CCTV surveillance cameras and intruder alarm systems to detect and assess potential security threats or breaches, while maintaining constant vigilance and promptly investigate any suspicious activity or unauthorised access.
  • Conduct regular patrols of designated assigned areas to deter criminal activity, enforce security policies, and ensure the integrity of physical barriers and access points. Perform thorough inspections to identify vulnerabilities and address potential security risks.
  • Control access to restricted areas, ensuring that only authorised individuals are permitted entry. Verify identification credentials, issue access badges (C-Cure Access Control) to new starters and temporary badges for existing employees, verify approvals, issue keys upon request, and enforce any other access protocols in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Document all security incidents, observations, and actions in detailed and accurate reports. Provide timely and comprehensive written accounts to aid in investigations, compliance efforts, and risk assessment strategies.
  • Coordinate effectively with other assigned security personnel, An Garda Síochána, emergency service responders, and relevant stakeholders to address safety & security concerns, share information, and implement coordinated responses to incidents, effectively, confidently, calmly and without hesitation.
  • Ensure compliance by overseeing all parking activities, issuing and checking parking permits, managing visitor parking, and guiding and instructing approved sub-contractors to secure parking at the specific locations.
  • Monitor security email box & respond to queries, manage lost property including safe storage and log keeping, provide occasional security support during company events, and provide escort upon request by client’s representatives.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the security sector, customer services, or a related field is preferred. Expertise in emergency response, crisis management, or security operations is highly desirable.
  • Must be physically fit and be able to perform the essential duties within the designated security role, which includes positions where standing, monitoring CCTV, periods of walking, climbing stairs during foot patrols, and while responding swiftly to emergencies.
  • Candidates must have an excellent verbal and written communication experience in English, as these are essential for effectively interacting with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public. The ability to remain calm and articulate during stressful situations is crucial.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and analytically are necessary to assess security threats, make sound judgments, and implement effective response strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to support colleagues and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic security environment.
  • Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and a commitment to upholding ethical standards in all aspects of security operations. Must adhere to confidentiality requirements and maintain the trust and confidence of stakeholders
The successful applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Static PSA Licence essential
  • Must have the ability to quickly and confidently evaluate circumstances within their work surroundings and make confident timely decisions when it comes to safety and security
  • Must be fully flexible with working hours, weekends, night shifts and ability to move from various locations when the operational requirements are necessary
  • Must have excellent personal appearance and a confident personality
  • Must have previous experience from within the security industry and operating within a control room environment or in a similar role
  • Must have a proven methodical organised approach to work
  • Must be a team player and can work unsupervised
  • Must be an excellent timekeeper and have a flexible approach to working diligently and professionally
  • Must have experience in the area of customer service
  • Must have a high standard of computer skills, Xcel, Word and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Control room experience preferable with the operational experience of CCTV and the C-Cure access control system
Night and Sunday allowances paid.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 42 per week
