We're recruiting an experienced Restaurant Host who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Compass Group Ireland on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.
As a Restaurant Host, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible food experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Warmly greet and welcome guests: Create a positive first impression by making eye contact, smiling, and offering a friendly greeting.
- Manage reservations and seating: Efficiently seat guests, manage waitlists, and accommodate special requests. Knowledge of Open Table is preferred.
- Maintain a clean and organised front-of-house area: Ensure the entrance, and waiting areas are tidy and inviting.
- Bid farewell to guests: Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Assist with other tasks as needed: Support the restaurant team with tasks such as taking orders, running food, or bussing tables during busy periods.
- Manage guest flow: Control the pace of seating to ensure a smooth dining experience for all guests.
- Handle guest feedback or concerns: Address any issues promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Assist with special events or private parties: Coordinate seating arrangements and manage guest lists.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by your manager
