About the role:
As a Program Manager on our EMEA Safety & Integrity team, you are the glue that ensures our policies, programs, and systems work together across our many apps to protect consumers and prevent abuse. You work to push projects and operational changes forwards, implement policy changes, and define new processes. You coordinate between product managers, operations teams, and policy specialists to actually get things done.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance. Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.

What will I be doing?

• Craft process and strategy for the Western Balkans market on Tik Tok platforms with a focus on safety issues such as Minor Safety, hate speech, cyber bullying, etc.
• Work closely with cross-functional partners (content policy, product management, data analytics, operations, engineering) to identify, assess and resolve safety-related issues in our products, promote community well-being and user safety with optimization of product features and product strategy.
• Address various scenarios such as video, comments, follow/like, accounts, etc. with both qualitative and quantitative approaches to detect potential risks in the global community then craft features and strategies to mitigate these risks

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the Western Balkans User Generated Content market.
• You have fluency in both verbal and written Croatian, Serbian or Albanian. This is critical as you would be responsible for the these markets.
• You have program/project or product management experience, ideally within a safety/ risk control/ anti-spam strategy environment.
• You are a strong communicator and problem-solver.
• You hold a deep understanding of the Western Balkans cultural and political landscape, and understand how this may reflect on social media, especially the politics of the two countries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in the tech industry in a Trust and Safety role
• Experience working with multiple cross functional partners and teams
• Experience working for/with a regulator or government agency
• An interest in and understanding of elections and/or political/governmental processes within Western Balkans region
• You are comfortable with large volumes of data and able to do in-depth data interpretation with familiarity with SQL a bonus
