Part Time – Specified Purpose Contract | Maternity Leave

The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team providing Phlebotomy service within the hospital. The Phlebotomy Department is ISO 15189 accredited by INAB and also JCI accredited. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated and must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. It is also essential to be flexible in this role.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements at a minimum:

Have the required qualifications

Hold an accredited qualification at NQAI Level 5 or higher.

Hold the Certificate in Phlebotomy form DCU/National Ambulance Training School or equivalent Phlebotomy qualification

Be registered in the General Division of the live register maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland

Have experience in Phlebotomy practice and ensure a high standard of care is maintained at all times.
Have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
Be flexible and capable of working independently and as part of a team
Be innovative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
To practice within and support the Bon Secours Mission and Values, policies, procedures, guidelines and new initiatives as directed / introduced by the hospital.
Be eligible to work within the EU
