We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Person in Charge (PIC) to join our team and lead the daily operations of our residential care facility.
Job Description:
The Person in Charge (PIC) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residential care facility, ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of all residents. You will lead a dedicated team of care professionals, ensuring compliance with all regulations and promoting a person-centred approach to care.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring high standards of care and support.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of staff members.
• Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents, promoting independence and well-being.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections, addressing any areas of concern.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and external service providers.
• Maintain accurate records and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work, Disability Studies, Nursing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, preferably in a residential or respite setting.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in staff supervision and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in disability services.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in challenging situations.

Desirable:

• Postgraduate qualification in Disability Studies, Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience with specific interventions and techniques supporting individuals with complex needs.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive equipment.
