The opportunity for this new and exciting Operations Manager role is as the result of continued expansion of a successful business based in Coolrain Co. Laois.
Our client Vanfit, has over 20 years experience as Ireland’s largest Specialist Design & Build Centre working in partnership with World leaders Sortimo innovative secure van racking and shelving systems.
The ideal candidate will have
 Excellent computer skills with the ability to analyse & Identify revenue
opportunities and operational improvements
 Manage production and resource planning with focus on scheduling in the
most cost-effective way to drive overall operational efficiency & quality
 Work closely with senior management on manufacturing plans, goals, and future product innovations and customer requirements for cost, quality and responsiveness
 Ability to drive performance measures to maximise company growth and staff development
 Report Key Performance indicators to senior management in a
comprehensive way
 Strong leadership and communication skills for training and motivating teams, creating the vision for the future of the company
 Problem-solving for improving processes, increasing efficiency and profits
 Expert knowledge of safety, efficiency and product quality
 Technical ability to sign off on quality control measures and final inspection
 Expertise in managing vendor/subcontractors’ relationships, contracts,
agreements and the procurement process
 Performing HR duties such as recruiting, managing and developing staff
through employee appraisals and feedback procedures
 Helping the company to promote high morale and communicate the
company’s operating policies, customer issues and safety measures
 Performing financial predictions by preparing the annual budgets, scheduling
expenditures, analysing variance and initiating corrective actions
 Developing operations policies by evaluating and enforcing policies for
products and inventory receipts
 Reviewing and approving operational invoices and forwarding them to
payment
 Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
 Making sure that all employees fill out the required legal documents
 Be a role model for company culture
The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude and a background in light engineering would be a distinct advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• CO. Laois: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Advanced/Higher Certificate (preferred)
