Material Planner / Buyer

The Ard Ri Group are looking for a Material buyer/Planner to assist across its departments.
The Purchasing Buyer is an important role within the Supply Chain Team. This role will be responsible for the co-ordination of outsourced manufacturing and the timely delivery of product to the relevant warehouses, ensuring order fulfilment targets are continuously delivered. In this role you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that materials are ordered and scheduled for delivery from suppliers in the quantity and delivery date required to support service to customers.
  • Forecasting and demand planning of material for your portfolio.
  • Ensuring deliveries take place on the correct date, in the correct containers, in the quantity required.
  • Validating that supplier schedules meet the company demands and collaborate with the supplier to ensure continued material availability.
  • Dealing with any delivery & invoice discrepancies and following through to resolution.
  • Co-ordinate tracking of containers from the port of loading to the port of discharge and report on the status of the ETA to the key stakeholders.
  • Set up and maintenance of SAP Master data for suppliers and materials.
  • Weekly reporting on Key Performance Indicators.
  • Coordinating and managing Engineering Changes and New Product Introduction
  • Participation in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Quality Management of supplier issues within the portfolio.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Experience requirements:
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Previous experience in a material planning or supply chain role
  • Supplier management experience
  • Owner of the certification process including the listing of certifications on databases such as Harp, Defra and Clear Skies.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferable, not essential) Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at all levels of a business
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter with good initiative and proactive approach to work
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €30,000.00-€36,000.00 per year
