Immigration Assistant Manager / Manager, People Advisory Services, Dublin
The Global Immigration team sits within EY’s People Advisory Services/UKI Tax & Law practice and is an ever-expanding provider managing a range of business immigration services for multinational clients (across a variety of industries) wishing to send their employees to work in Ireland. These services typically centre on the compliance and policy issues in coordinating and filing their employment permit and visa applications, subsequent immigration support such as advisory on future immigration needs, right to work etc.
EY’s Immigration practice is a high-pace, client service focused environment. Team members enjoy extensive contact with corporate clients, employees/assignees, and EY contacts at all levels within organisations.
As a Manager in the Irish Immigration team, you will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the team. This is achieved by being inspirational, curious, accountable, and results-focused always, and proactively asking for and providing help where required.
What will I be doing?

As a Manager within the EY Ireland immigration team, you will supervise and manage engagements and other related activities under the general direction of senior management, leading staff in providing corporate Irish immigration services to our clients. Responsibilities will include:
Leading a team of dedicated immigration professionals in a variety of engagements in the delivery of technical advice, reviewing all relevant paperwork and communication pertaining to the end-to-end support (inbound) for the immigration process in Ireland.
Oversee and manage engagements efficiently.
Actively establishing, maintaining, and strengthening internal and external relationships, and making sure that the work delivered is of high quality.
Reporting to senior management within the team.
Monitoring regulatory and legislative changes in the Irish immigration domain, guiding clients in implementing necessary changes to their non-EEA workforce and processes in a timely manner.
Helping to create a positive learning culture, coaching and counselling junior team members to help them develop professionally and personally.
Working on new immigration client pursuits while ensuring all risk management practices and processes for the firm are adhered to.
Taking responsibility for addressing problems and if not resolved, seeking guidance from others on how best to resolve them.
Serve as a trusted business advisor for clients in the provision of Irish immigration services.
Liaising with relevant Irish Immigration authorities within the Department of Enterprise, Trade & Employment & Department of Justice & Equality/Immigration Service Delivery Unit.
Support, or serve as, the program leader in managing the team's technical development seminars and courses.
Complete and document assigned work in line with EY quality standards, achieve expected outcomes, and take responsibility for correcting any errors or omissions
Understands and applies the correct methodology, tools and technology
Acting as a client partner to develop immigration offering and to streamline and create efficiencies in line with best practice and EY’s immigration offering across the global firm.
Addressing concerns and issues raised by individuals receiving immigration services to ensure supportive and empathetic service.
Managing financials of client engagements.
Participate in wider initiatives across People Advisory Service and the EY Tax and Law practices.

To qualify for the role you must have
Relevant skills and qualifications.
A degree qualification in law, HR, or related field is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Irish immigration compliance, consulting or related field
