Drogheda Hire & Sales, part of AER Rents Group, is a well-established company with 30 years of experience in the plant hire industry. The company’s headquarters is located in Drogheda, co. Louth and a depot located at Long Mile Road, co. Dublin.
With our ever-growing hire fleet and company expansion, we are now looking to add a Sales Assistant to the team in the Drogheda Branch.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a well-stocked shop, handling cash, and maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of day-to-day transactions. Although knowledge of plant & Machinery is a bonus, it is not necessary.
This role would suit a person who can work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate would be ambitious, driven, and eager to learn about the workings of machinery and small tools

Key Responsibilities…
- advising customers on the best plant/tools for the task at hand and demonstrating how to operate if required.
- Dealing with sales inquiries either by phone or over the counter and providing advice, information, and quotations.
- Recommending suitable plant/tools/machinery to suit customer requirements
- Liaising with yard and workshop staff to fulfil orders
- Providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process so all customer expectations are met, if not exceeded.
- Achieve agreed sales targets.
- Stay updated about product knowledge
- Close sales transactions efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to the company guidelines on Health & Safety.
- Knowledge of plant/ tools/ machinery is an advantage.
- Experience in using machinery and small tools is an advantage.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Be able to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft programs and administration.
- Flexible, friendly, and approachable manner
- A strong attention to detail.

Pay: €30,000.00-€34,000.00 per year

- Manual Handling Certificate (preferred)
