Healthcare Supervisor

ABM is currently recruiting for a Full Time-Permanent Healthcare Cleaning Supervisor for an immediate start located in a healthcare setting in County Dublin.
Purpose:
To ensure the smooth running of our customer contract on a day to day basis by supporting the Site Manager to oversee customer needs, and the management & development of the team.
To be innovative and drive forward quality in standards, maintaining excellence and compliance to policy & regulatory requirements at all times.

  • Responsibilities / duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
Service Provision:
  • Deputise in the absence of the Site Manager
  • Ensure the delivery of services to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of the customer, within the scope of the contract
  • Build a strong relationship with the customer and ensure that the rest of the team follow suit, in accordance with their role
  • React in a timely manner to any issues that arise and support their resolution
  • Continually assess the need for and monitor the availability and serviceability of all uniforms, site-specific clothing, PPE, equipment and materials
  • Appropriate allocation of staff to ensure site schedule and specification are met
  • Achieve and improve all site operational key performance indicators (KPI)
People Supervision and Development:
  • Assist with the recruitment, training, development and performance management of cleaning operatives.
  • Manage attendance appropriately, and follow relevant HR procedures
  • Be dynamic in leading the team to deliver best in class customer service
  • Create a harmonious working environment and proactively manage conflict at the source, escalating as appropriate
  • Maintain a fair and inclusive working environment, free from discrimination or prejudice
Administration
  • Ensure all paperwork is accurate, recorded, maintained and updated within the allotted timeframe, for example the weekly rosters, payroll data, annual leave requests, employee files etc.
  • Validate proof of delivery on orders received, escalate any discrepancies and support resolution
  • Manage the delivery of the contracts to agreed budget
Quality Management and Health and Safety
  • Ensure and promote a safe working environment
  • Carry out training, including tool box training
  • Report all incidents, accidents and near-misses in line with policy
  • Complete relevant audits and questionnaires, and take remedial actions where improvement is required
Candidate requirements:
  • Excellent Customer service skills with a customer focus and a proven record of working within a customer facing role (Desired)
  • Fluent in the English language with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership, motivational and organisational skills, not to mention the ability to delegate
  • Experience in cleaning offices, production , labs etc.
  • Experience within the Healthcare industry, or a similar environment
  • Experience working within a results-oriented environment
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Cleaning/supervisor experience
  • IT literate including knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of working within a team
  • Shift time- 5:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Mon-Fri (Availability on few weekends)
