Job Description:
Facility Lead
Reporting to:
Operations Manager
Purpose of role:
In-facility leader. Responsible for gym growth and performance, member experience and athletic development. Driver of in- gym events, daily running of classes/sessions, staff roster, class schedule. Key stakeholders for developing internal standards, policies, procedures, and protocols. Strongly focussed on service delivery and member acquisition. Ensuring highest quality member experience through exceptional customer service and delivery of coaching techniques. Responsible for staff communication and member and lead communication with a focus towards, team harmony, facility growth and business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and grow the company's Mission and Vision through consistent application of our company values.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the company brand in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain required number of coaching hours weekly.
  • Arrive to the gym prepared with a thorough understanding of the workout for the day
  • Lead by example in the recruitment and retention of gym members
  • Coordinate and implement sales and retention strategies to drive continued growth
  • Coordinate and implement shift schedules ensuring staff are appropriately allocated
  • Schedule and coordinate each new training phase
  • In conjunction with the Customer Success Manager, Coordinate with leads, trials & members to ensure induction is understood and the membership journey is optimised.
  • Assist in conducting performance and goal check-ins for members.
  • Ensure the team has the gym set up, maintained and cleaned to a consistently high standard.
  • Ensure the team maintains hygiene, cleanliness, appearance and organisation of the facility and equipment.
  • Ensure the team is always prepared and delivers excellent service.
  • Deliver: introduction, verbal cues, and demonstrate each exercise with confidence, providing modifications/regressions or progressions as needed.
  • Ensure members are receiving attention by name where possible in class and performing exercises safely, always using the correct form while keeping them motivated and encouraged.
  • Coordinate community engagement to drive awareness, including event launches, marketing projects and recruitment events.
  • Implement social media marketing strategies and contribute to social media content.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and actions through a display of courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, and professionalism to clients, colleagues, and internal & external business partners.
  • Develop a high-energy culture through challenges, fun in-house events and incentive-based motivation.
  • Responsible for implementing challenges, special projects, events, and promotions.
  • Meet or exceed required gym performance metrics (KPIs).
  • Always ensure appropriate communication of member-related actions.
  • Always ensure appropriate communication of administrative actions.
  • Comply and adhere to Ludus Magnus Ltd's business policies and standards.
  • Attend and assist at organised events, whether community, social, or fitness-related.
  • Comfortable giving sweaty high fives!

Requirements
  • Fitness certification through a nationally recognised organisation above EQF4.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the fitness industry, with the majority in a supervisory or higher-level management role (or the ability to give clear examples of leadership).
  • Management experience is strongly preferred.
  • An NQF Level 7 or above is strongly preferred.
  • A track record of continuous professional development.
  • CPR/AED First Aid Certification.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €35,000.00-€45,000.00 per year

  • Advanced/Higher Certificate (preferred)

  • Sports coaching: 4 years (required)
