Field Veterinary Partner (Learning and Development)
The Field Veterinary Partner (Learning and Development) is responsible for maintaining and elevating clinical standards across Village Vets through the provision of training, education, and clinical advice. This role supports various departments, ensuring strategic goals are met, and provides leadership and mentorship to veterinary professionals, enhancing their skills and promoting best practices. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Training and Development:
Facilitate and deliver high-quality clinical training to support superior clinical standards.
Develop and manage Vet Vision, our new graduate program, ensuring its continuous improvement and success.
Research and communicate advancements in clinical standards, procedures, protocols, medications, and equipment.
Interdepartmental Support:
Provide clinical advice to other departments such as operations, marketing, finance, and HR, ensuring alignment with clinical best practices.
Support clinic leadership teams to maintain high standards of care and veterinary practice.
Mentoring and Coaching:
Mentor and coach veterinarians at various stages of their careers, from new graduates to lead vets, supporting best practices and commercial objectives.
Assist with talent acquisition, identifying and nurturing promising veterinary professionals.
Leadership:
Provide leadership to clinical teams, aligning their efforts with clinical quality and commercial goals.
Set personal development plans, goals, and targets for veterinary staff, conducting regular reviews to ensure progress.
Regulatory and Governance Support:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support clinical governance.
Develop and maintain comprehensive CPD (Continuing Professional Development) programs for clinical staff, advising on further education to foster career development.
Business KPIs Support:
Support the achievement of key business KPIs, such as Training Completion %, ATV, and ROI on Training, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of Village Vets.
Education, Experience, and Skills: Professional/Technical Qualification
Minimum 6 years qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon, with 100% small animal experience
Previous experience in mentoring, and training
Experience & Job Knowledge
Proven experience in delivering quality veterinary care
Experienced working as part of a team and an individual
Self-motivated with good time management skills
