- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct EHS audits and inspections.
- Provide EHS training to employees.
- Promote, drive and embed a positive Health and Safety culture for all employees within Nature’s Best.
- Responsible for the day-to-day EHS functions.
- Regularly review and update company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, Health & Safety Policies, and Safety Statement.
- Monitor legislative updates and ensure necessary changes are implemented.
- Implement and update EHS control procedures as required.
- Conduct regular plant inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify the root cause, implement preventative and correct actions to prevent re-occurrences.
- Provide training and instruction on safety protocols and procedures to all employees.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement risk management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to Health and Safety.
- Stay updated with relevant Health and Safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
- Third Level Qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline - essential.
- A minimum of 2 years Health & Safety experience in Manufacturing - essential.
- Detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, regulations, standards and best practices.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing is a distinct advantage.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Excellent verbal, written, communication and IT skills.
- Effective handling of Health & Safety investigations.
- Fluent English, both spoken & written is essential (additional Languages are considered an advantage).
