Job Summary
Obelisk is an internationally competitive professional engineering services business. We provide infrastructure solutions for the telecoms and renewable sectors in Ireland and UK. In April 2022, Obelisk was acquired by Visabeira, a Portuguese telecommunications and energy service provider with a turnover in the region of €1bn per annum, operating across mainland Europe and in the US.
The Deployment Manager will have full responsibility to deliver customer projects on behalf of the Account Manager working in a time sensitive and deadline driven environment
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all items on critical path for site builds are completed, organized and tracked (Build & Maintenance)
  • Project managing wind measurement campaigns from concept to delivery.
  • Writing, reviewing and updating Risk Assessments and Method Statements in advance of site work.
  • Managing contractors to ensure site work is undertaken to our required quality and safety standards.
  • Responsibility for the deployment of Lidar devices and associated Power Supply Units, including setup and commissioning.
  • Manage data collection for energy yield modelling, site conditions assessments, project design, and operational analysis.
  • Collaborating on work across multiple projects, liaising with key stakeholders, contractors.
  • Use of Client specific IT tools,
  • Specific point of contact for client including client updates, ad-hoc and conference calls and meetings and site surveys here and in UK.
  • Resolving and tracking faults, liaising with crews
  • Arrange for equipment call-offs including review of BOM for upcoming site builds, ensuring accuracy
  • Handle build/technology queries Based on the customers they are dealing with
  • Daily, Weekly and monthly reporting to Account Manager & Business
  • Knowledge of DC power and electronics,
  • Escalation and reporting on out of scope works to Account Manager & Commercial Department
  • Cost management- Ensuring daily measurements are submitted and Budgets are met and monitored throughout the course of the job.
  • Responsibility for Contracting Partners and Obelisk Staff co-ordination to ensure site build to spec
  • Cost control on all aspects of work carried out by all subsidiary companies.
  • Ensure detailed designs are accurate.
  • Responsible for the quality and completeness of the sites including handover
  • Booking outages and access to sites.
  • Chasing new work where possible with existing and new clients.
  • Submission and validation of Timesheets
  • Liaise with Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Team to ensure SHEQ standards are implemented and maintained on all sites.
  • Carry out onsite SHEQ audits and report results to SHEQ and Hand Over Document Teams
Skills and Experience Required
  • Min. 5 years’ experience within the telecoms industry
  • Have an excellent knowledge of process improvement methodologies
  • Be fully proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Ability to take initiative, multitask, work to deadlines and work under pressure
  • A decisive, structured, energetic and highly motivated individual
  • Can demonstrate strong commercial awareness and financial acumen
  • A leader with the drive to create a high performing competency based culture
