Location: Inchicore Works, Inchicore Salary: C04 (28,661.19 – €48,044.94) Applications are being invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Clerical Officer, Accounts Payable. The company is seeking an organized and efficient individual. The role of Clerical Officer, Accounts Payable will be to ensure Iarnród Éireann smooth and efficient operations within our organization. As an integral member of our team, you will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication and providing exceptional administrative support.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting the accounts payable manager and the assistant accounts payable manager
To manage the accounts payable email account
Ensure all payments made to Irish Rail vendors are in accordance with policy and procedure in an accurate and timely manner
Implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies, to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Build and maintaining relationship with employees, clients, and vendors
Analysing vendor accounts and correspondence with vendors on all queries
Analysing financial accounts directly associated with the accounts payable office
Provide cover for the other critical accounts payable processes
Essential criteria:
Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of Procurement policy and procedures.
Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
Commitment to ethical behaviour with a willingness to adhere to all company policies and current financial legislation.
Comprehensive knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Team player.
Desirable criteria:
Experience preferred, particularly in a supervisory role.
Extensive knowledge about accounting and Accounts Payable procedures.
