Dromard Childcare is a community based full day childcare service, providing Full day and
Part-time Childcare from 6 months of age up to 12 years of age, ECCE preschool, School Age
Childcare including Morning Club.
Dromard Childcare invites applications for the following position:
Childcare Manager - Location: Legga, Moyne, Longford
Childcare Manager will be responsible for:
- Manage/oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare service
- Ensuring compliance with Tusla, Department of Education and Pobal
- Managing/reporting on DCEDIY programmes
- Supporting Parents/children to access services and gov’t programmes (ECCE/NCS)
- Manage/support Staff, staffing schedules/annual leave, etc.
- Liaise with EY educators, AIM/Better Start, EY Inspectorate and CCCs for training and
supports
- Ensure safety, care and welfare of children enrolled in the service
- Review/Implement Policy & Procedures of the service.
- Ensure all mandatory training/service maintenance is completed and up to date for staff
and service
- Manage and control financial reporting of the service to Board of Management and
Pobal
- Reporting and record keeping for compliance with Pobal
- Organize child registrations and staffing ratio room requirements
- Manage payroll, issuing and tracking invoicing/billing/receipts
- Must be able to lead by example and use own initiative
- Flexible and adaptable
Eligibility Criteria:
- QQI Level 7 in Early Years or relevant qualification
- Bookkeeping and Financial Management skills advantageous
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a manager role preferably in a childcare
setting
- Excellent communication skills, IT and administration skills,
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Ability to cover & work in all rooms
- Knowledge of childcare, childcare regulations and affiliated organisations,
- First Aid, Fire Safety & Manual Handling
Job Specifications:
-Monday to Friday (xxxx - xxxx)
-52 Week contract
-No Weekends
