Cork's Vienna Woods Hotel is a luxurious 18th century elegant country house tucked under Glanmire’s leafy backdrop. The original regency decor and restored artwork presents a lavish fifty bedroom 4 Star Hotel with old-world, vintage charm. Nestled among twenty two acres of private woodlands, the tranquil surrounds of our family run hotel, which overlooks the Glashaboy River, also houses eight 4 Star self-catering holiday villas.
We are currently recruiting talented & experienced part-time Bar Staff to join our team.
The successful candidate would need to have availability to work midweek and weekend evenings and late nights as and when needed.
We are looking for skilled, and highly motivated individuals who have a passion for the hospitality industry to join our team and have the ability to exceed customers’ expectations
Duties:
- Be proficient in the style and the sequence of service, providing motivation, training and guidance to all staff. Assisting your colleagues always in the operation, as well as their need for assistance at appropriate times
- Be accountable for correct standards of Mis-en-Place before, during and after service.
- Ensure the preparation of the department and the still room area are always in accordance with the hotel standards.
- Be responsible for handling keys and money, securely opening and closing down the department.
- Inform yourself and adhere with the relevant control, maintenance, equipment, par stocks and requisition and storage systems at all times.
- Preparation of both alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons
- Interacting with customers, taking orders and serving snacks and drinks
- Assessing bar customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar business- ideally a 4* hotel
- Availability to work on weekends and be flexible with time
- A professional manner
- Excellent presentation
- Ability to work both as a team and alone
- Self-motivated
- Friendly and outgoing
- Fluent English
- Fantastic customer service skills
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
