Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Operations Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support operational processes by assisting in sourcing, purchasing, and managing supplies to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers for products and services as requested by management.
Evaluate and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
Maintain accurate records of operational activities, including supplier agreements and contracts.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies regarding products.
Assist in implementing safety protocols for handling and processing materials.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand material and service needs, ensuring timely delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in forecasting to prevent stock shortages.
Research market trends and pricing to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Assist in resolving operational issues, including discrepancies and supplier performance concerns.
Support the operations team with administrative tasks, including data entry and report generation.
Perform any ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Previous experience in operations or supply chain management is preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement software.
