Create detailed process layouts: Develop precise and efficient process layouts for manufacturing or production workflows, optimizing space and resources.
Generate fabrication drawings: Produce high-quality fabrication and assembly drawings for parts, structures, and equipment, ensuring clarity and accuracy for production teams.
Use CAD and Autodesk Inventor: Utilize CAD software (Auto CAD) and Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks for 2D and 3D modeling, drafting, and design, ensuring that all drawings meet project and client specifications.
Collaborate with engineers: Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret concepts, ideas, and technical specifications, transforming them into detailed drawings and models.
Review and revise designs: Ensure designs comply with company standards, industry codes, and best practices. Revise drawings and layouts based on feedback or design modifications.
Maintain drawing standards: Ensure all drawings are created in accordance with company drafting standards, and maintain a comprehensive record of all design files and revisions.
Support project documentation: Prepare documentation and reports associated with the designs, including bills of materials (BOMs), technical data sheets, and assembly instructions.
Quality assurance: Conduct regular reviews of drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements, ensuring quality control throughout the drafting process.
Liaise with production teams: Collaborate with shop floor personnel, suppliers, and fabricators to address any drawing or design-related issues during manufacturing or assembly.
Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction workers and subcontractors
