Key Responsibilities:

Supervision of Dialysis Operations:

Manage day-to-day operations of the dialysis unit.

Ensure that dialysis treatments are performed efficiently, safely, and according to the prescribed schedules.
- Oversee patient care and ensure adherence to treatment protocols and standards.

Team Leadership and Staff Management:

Lead and manage a team of nurses, technicians, and other dialysis unit staff.

Develop staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts.
-
Facilitate staff training, development, and certification as per dialysis care requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members.

Patient Care and Support:

Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to all patients receiving dialysis treatment.

Monitor patient progress and coordinate care plans with nephrologists and other healthcare professionals.

Address patient concerns or emergencies and ensure appropriate intervention.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation of treatments.

Quality Control and Compliance:

Implement and monitor infection control and safety protocols within the unit.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, dialysis guidelines, and hospital policies.
- Conduct regular audits of processes, equipment, and staff performance to identify areas for improvement.

Inventory and Equipment Management:

Ensure the availability and proper functioning of dialysis machines and related equipment.

Manage and monitor the inventory of dialysis supplies and coordinate with procurement for restocking.
- Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of dialysis machines.

Administrative Duties:

Collaborate with hospital administration to develop and manage the dialysis unit's budget.

Prepare and submit regular reports on unit performance, patient outcomes, and staff productivity.
- Participate in strategic planning for the growth and development of dialysis services.

Patient Education and Counseling:

Provide education to patients and their families about dialysis treatments, diet, and lifestyle management.
- Counsel patients on their treatment plans and help them manage their expectations and any anxiety related to dialysis.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with nephrologists, physicians, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
- Act as the primary liaison between the dialysis unit and hospital administration, patients, and their families.
